Backend & integrations · Public engineering work

Keep integrations useful when the API changes.

A migration reaches beyond the URL: authentication, pagination, response shape, error handling and existing callers all matter. Inspect a merged E2B contribution, open proposals and runnable reference implementations.

Merged
Update the model catalogue and default for API compatibilityE2B AI Analyst #43

Merged by an E2B maintainer. Updated the available model entries and selected a default compatible with the application's existing SDK and temperature behavior.

Validation and limits: PR reported 76 tests and a clean typecheck. Merged 20 October 2026; the upstream suite was not rerun in this profile review.

Move the Langfuse data wrapper to Observations API v2Supabase Wrappers #665

Proposed Rust changes to foreign-table definitions, query parameter encoding and migration diagnostics, with documentation explaining changes to trace IDs and cost semantics.

Validation and limits: Formatting and isolated helper tests reported passing. Wasm build and live Langfuse validation remain outstanding.

Check Langfuse credentials on the actual OTLP export pathLibreChat #17217

Proposed replacing the admin connection test’s legacy ingestion probe with the OTLP endpoint already used by the collector. The credential check changes from public-key-only to the key pair used for export.

Validation and limits: Updated endpoint and header assertions, plus a legacy-path regression assertion. Jest was not run locally; acceptance and CI validation remain pending.

Scope an API retirement warning to the affected providerLiteLLM #47219

Proposed a once-per-process Evals API warning for OpenAI’s own endpoint. Azure and other compatible providers are excluded, and requests continue unchanged.

Validation and limits: Warning logic exercised in isolation; two unit tests added. The full project suite was not run locally.

Validate webhook HMAC signatures before creating executionsKestra #19659

Optional signature verification on original request bytes, with configurable algorithm, header and prefix. Existing unsigned integrations retain their behavior unless verification is configured.

Validation and limits: 61 focused tests reported passing. The PR is open and awaiting maintainer review.

Closed proposals and their outcomes

Sim #9187

Proposed TypeScript request validation and response mapping that retain the existing report fields. Unsupported measurements produce an error rather than a misleading zero.

Closed 19 October; the maintainer marked it superseded by #9194. This patch was not merged. Earlier isolated checks do not establish adoption.

Original proposal and discussion

Hive #7506

Proposed Python GraphQL helper, bounded date and limit inputs, grouped DNS query results, and explicit GraphQL error handling.

Closed without merge on 20 October. Earlier tests used a stand-in registry; the real FastMCP suite and live-zone validation were not run. Not counted as an accepted contribution.

Code you can run

Independent TypeScript references. No vendor affiliation or production adoption implied.

Recover an agent workflow after an uncertain payment write

Rules before model calls, validated proposals, a policy gate and a durable outbox. A local demo injects timeouts, a worker crash and revoked access; a synthetic evaluation compares classifier configurations.

Independent TypeScript reference using a fake ERP. Eight tests and the local demo/evaluation passed on 21 October; no production customer or live-model results implied.

agent-reconciliation-harness

Keep unreadable secrets from becoming empty values

A TypeScript reference model with five explicit remote-value states, versioned writes and restore safeguards. Property tests cover retries, idempotency and concurrent user edits.

Independent reference implementation with an in-memory store. Not a production library or a vendor engagement.

redaction-safe-sync

Recover from missed and out-of-order GitHub webhooks

Signed webhook receiver, coalescing worker and budgeted reconciler. Tests cover delivery duplicates, pushes during deployment, rate limits and failed-build retries.

Single-process TypeScript reference. Its simulation illustrates the mechanism; it is not a production benchmark.

Where this fits a team

I can own backend integrations, payment workflows and migration work, from reading the provider contract through implementation and regression checks. My production background is Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL and full-stack delivery; AI-agent security and adversarial evaluation add a useful second perspective.

The E2B change was accepted upstream. Other proposals remain open or closed as labelled. None of these records establishes a successful customer migration or production experience with every technology involved. Smaller reference implementations make specific reliability rules easier to inspect without exposing client code.

For a payment-integration example, see the public Stripe sync sample. For independently credited security work, see the CircleCI advisory.

Open to remote engineering roles and contracts.
